Somers District 29 has a vacancy on our Board of Trustees.
You can tell teachers are excited about starting a new year when their classrooms are set up and ready to go 3 weeks before students will return.
It's not every day we have a helicopter land in the parking lot.
The Nurturing Center will be at Lakeside during our meet the teacher event on Thursday September 1st from 2-4PM. They will have backpacks full of school supplies to hand out to any families that are interested. If you can't make it and would still like a backpack with supplies, please contact the school counselor Ali Evans at ali.evans@somersdist29.org to arrange for pickup at a different time.
Tomorrow (Thursday, 8/11) it will be breakfast for lunch. Pickup at the middle school between 11:00 and noon.

Fall Sports are coming.
Volleyball camp next week. August 8-10, Monday through Wednesday at Somers middle school from 9AM to 11AM. Any player is welcome to come grades five through eight and the groups will be divided by skill level. Please bring a snack, water, kneepads, tennis shoes, and have your hair pulled back.
