Do you enjoy working with children? Somers District #29 is seeking several Paraprofessional Educators to support students at Lakeside Elementary School. Paraprofessionals contribute to providing a safe environment with high quality instruction in many ways: • Reinforcing learning tasks that have been taught by the regular or special education teachers with individuals or in small groups, such as practice on math facts, oral reading, counting, letter identification, etc. • Monitoring and assisting students through drill, practice, and study activities following presentation of instructional concepts by instructional personnel. • Assisting the teacher in observing, recording and reporting classroom behavior and progress toward goals. • Assisting students with physical tasks such as eating, toileting, putting on clothing, writing, using computers and adaptive equipment. • Assisting in supervision of students in the classroom, on study trip activities, on the playground, and in bus duty, as directed. • Listening to students reading, reading to students, explaining words and meanings, rephrasing materials, and providing similar learning examples. • Assisting the teacher with student behavior management, monitoring, and/or refocusing student’s attention in the classroom. Pay ranges from $16.24 to $17.74 per hour depending on experience. District health insurance and other benefits are included.

How Does It Work?
If you're a Montana taxpayer, you can donate to our school district to help fund
innovative educational programs, and the donation will directly reduce your state tax bill.
Donations made in January 2025 will be credited on your state taxes when you file in
2026.
What Will the Donations Fund?
Your generous contribution will support a variety of initiatives that enhance our
educational environment, including:
• Transformational Learning: Supporting flexible, student-centered learning
models designed to fully develop each student's potential, as mandated by the
Montana Constitution.
• Inclusive Education: Funding programs, services, and adaptive equipment that
provide expanded opportunities for students with disabilities.
• Technology Enhancements: Upgrading our schools with cutting-edge
technology to foster a dynamic and engaging learning environment.
• Capital Improvements: Funding for necessary building improvements and
equipment to support these innovative programs.
Donation Details
• Tax Credit: Donations will result in a dollar-for-dollar tax credit on your 2026
state tax return.
• Donation Limits: Individuals can donate up to $200,000 per year, or $400,000
for married couples filing jointly.
• Deadline: All donations must be received by January 14, 2025.
