The Somers District 29 Board of Trustees met on April 21st, 2025 for the regular monthly meeting. A quorum was present, and standard business was completed, including the approval of the March minutes, expenditures, and payroll.
We had a visit from Peter Fusaro, Assistant Superintendent – District 5 and Jinnifer Mariman, School Board Trustee – District 5 during our public comment period. They were able to share some facts about the High School Levy which is held on May 6th. Be sure to vote on May 6th and support funding the High Schools of Kalispell. The Board of Trustees acknowledged the resignation of Arthur Fretheim. Thank you, Mr. Fretheim, for all you have done to support the staff and students of LES. We wish you good luck in all your future endeavors.
The Board voted to offer the Special Education Teacher position to Beverly Crane. We would like to welcome you to Lakeside Elementary School.
In addition, we also voted to renew both the Tenured and Non-Tenured Teachers contracts.
Our next monthly Board of Trustees meeting will be held on May 19th, at 6:00 at LES.
